| I first started in the Real Estate industry quite some years
ago now with my first investment property being a no money
down block of land in Mount Maunganui.
In a period of just 12 months, I was ready to buy another
one but ran into some trouble with the bank, you see
they wanted me to save a deposit and would not let me
use the equity I had in the existing property to get
the next one.
As you can imagine I was not a happy chappy however
I did buy 2 more sections using no money down techniques...
This was in 1988... A long time before no money down
deals were even talked about. During this time, I learned
that there are both easy and hard ways of creating success.
And the easiest, fastest way of achieve your goals is
to follow proven strategies that work.
When I first started though, I had to work it all myself.
I studied Financial Planning and completed the CFP education
program (this is the highest designation a Financial
Planner can get), I also studied Real Estate at the
Real Estate Institute of Queensland and became one of
3 Financial Planners in Australia who also had a full
Real Estate License (not just a sales person one) and
during all of this study and working in Real Estate
and Financial Planning I became a mortgage broker with
over 40 accreditation's.
It took me a while (1988 to today ... you work it out
) but eventually I put all the puzzle pieces together
about how to grow my property portfolio and I ended
up reaching my goals like owning a multi million dollar
Penthouse by the time I was 40 . The end result was
fabulous and exactly what I wanted, but boy was a long
hard slog to start off with!
